I, a middle-aged dad with an IT job, wide-ranging musical tastes (most mainstream styles except hard-core country), and relentless daughter, have become a Swiftie.
In the end, I have no influence except over myself. It is incumbent upon me, and all of us, to exercise that influence for the elimination of racism and prejudice in all its forms, using the tools available to us - spreading the principles of my faith, giving my money, and casting my vote.
I have been asked several times over the years, and especially recently, what I believe about the intersection of science and faith, and specifically, Christianity. Let’s start by saying no, I do not think they need to be - or are - in conflict.
Maybe it’s hiding, maybe it’s cowardly, maybe I’m full of hubris. But I’m beginning to think it’s necessary to have good relationships.
